Zeiz Ltd., based in London, is one of the leading agronomic solutions providers in MENA.
We manufacture and supply agronomic products that improve agricultural productivity for greater customer returns. This includes crop protection products, seed treatments, fertilisers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and many other products that enhance plant production, soil and water used in spraying operations. Zeiz is a Germanic word meaning gentle, tender and graceful.
Focusing on innovative and scientific approach, with a great R&D team, Zeiz performs work on the cutting edge of the agricultural industry as well as looking to the future while affecting changes in the present. We have skilled, qualified and creative people who believe in and accept challenges. All we're doing is what we should be doing! Supplying quality products to agriculture must have a major role in the food chain by serving the farmers via technology transfer from research to the farm.
To achieve long-term pest control, our R&D uses multidisciplinary approaches (including biotechnology, toxicology, weed science and plant protection). One of the most important issues that our R&D is working on is the issue of resistance to pests, diseases and weeds. The overuse of conventional molecules without alternative, has led to resistance development of pesticides. Our lab employed bioassay, biochemical and enzyme assays, omics-based techniques (from genomes to metabolites) which provide us powerful and innovative tools for our view. Other issues that we are considering include residue problems as well as toxicity toward beneficial non-target organisms. Taken together, integrating different control tactics is our fundament toward achieving successful control of pest.
High Quality, Our Top Priority
Our firm intention has been all about developing quality products because we passionately care about food security all around the world. One way of absolutely guaranteeing that people do have access to healthy and safe edibles, is by manufacturing fertilisers that have been tested for superior quality.
Other areas in which our R&D team is involved encompasses studying induced-resistance fertiliser screening and large scale trials for agrochemical and seeds, cooperation with research institutes in biotechnology, plant protection and field days with agricultural activists
