Role Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager with experience in the agrochemical or chemical manufacturing sector to support our production leadership team. The successful candidate will assist in managing day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining product quality, and supporting regulatory compliance efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational experience who is ready to take on increasing responsibility within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Production Manager in overseeing daily production operations to maintain efficiency and workflow continuity.
- Assist in preparing and implementing production schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time with minimal downtime.
- Monitor quality control processes and escalate issues to senior management when required.
- Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and R&D teams to help streamline production processes.
- Support compliance efforts related to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Help supervise production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect and analyse production data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with cost-control activities and contribute to budget monitoring and resource optimisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a production or supervisory role within the agrochemical or chemical manufacturing industry (3+ years preferred).
- Good understanding of production processes, machinery, and regulatory requirements in the agrochemical sector.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Familiarity with production management systems and operational reporting tools.
- Ability to contribute to cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
